Carl Melles (1926 - 2004) was an Austrian conductor, Hungarian born
Melles conducted the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Wiener Philharmoniker and Symphoniker, the New Philharmonia Orchestra London, to name a few. Among the soloist who worked with him were Wilhelm Kempff, Nathan Milstein, David Oistrach, Maurizio Pollini, Swjatoslaw Richter, Mstislaw Rostropowitsch and Arthur Rubinstein.
