Fritz Hakl (b. 1932 ) is an Austrian actor, both theater and movie. One of his most important roles was in The Tin Drum (German: Die Blechtrommel), a 1979 film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Guenter Grass. It was directed and co-written by Volker Schloendorff. The film won the Palme d'Or at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival and the 1979 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
