Reimers became "Hofschauspieler" in 1890, the appointment as a company member for life in 1901 and the honorary membership in 1922. From 1925 on he was director of the Burg-Theater in Wien.
For many decades he was one of the most successful Austrian actors. Mostly performing on stage he also starred in some movies like: Bogdan Stimov (1917), Verhaengnis der schoenen Susi, Das (1917), Weg ins Freie, Der (1918) Sodom und Gomorrha (1922) aka Queen of Sin and the Spectacle of Sodom and Gomorrah
