Hutter, Wolfgang, born 1928 in Wien is one of Austria's most famous Artists.
Between 1945 and 1950 he has been studying at the Central academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with his father Anton Paris Guetersloh as teacher and Ernst Fuchs, Rudolf Hausner as colleagues. The 3 were among the founders of the Vienna Art Club and he was also founder of the Vienna Phantastic Realists. ( Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus ).
He is famous for his dream like, fairy tale -like paintings which are delicately executed and stand for highest artl standard.
The first exhibitions staged by Art Club members showed that within this community of progressive painters, graphic designers, and sculptors there was clearly a " Surrealist subgroup ". Ernst Fuchs, at the early age of 18, had already gained reputation with his highly impressive apocalyptic drawings and paintings, Apart from Ernst Fuchs, this "Surrealist subgroup" included the 20-year old artists Erich Brauer, Wolfgang Hutter, and Anton Lehmden as well as the somewhat older artists Rudolf Hausner and Frith Janschka (who started living in the US in 1951).
These artists formed the core of the "Viennese School of Phantastic Realism"which has, in the meantime, become very popular in Austria and comprises several generations of artists.
