瞿应绍 茶壶. Outstanding Qing Dynasty Teapot. Very attractive and unusual

China: Outstanding Qing Dynasty Teapot. Very attractive

Imperial China: Very attractive tea pot from the Mid Qing-Periode. Yixing-type, glazed, blue tines on dark brown subsurface. Floral decor, which almost looks like Art Deco. Square shape, unusual design.

Burned-in bottom seal: Hu Gong Ye Fu 壶公冶父. This refers to the famous producer of tea pots, Qu Yingshao 瞿应绍 (1780 – 1849).

Qu Yingshao’s works can be found in specialized books on antique Chinese tea post, his works are had to find, can be found in museums and are treasured among collectors.

7 x 4 x 5 inches. With guaranty that the object is older than 100 years.

The tea pot is in good condition, there are no cracks or fissures. At the bottom rim are 4 minor flaws. (Since the floral decor is convex, the borders of the deco- units easily can become chamfered)

The object really stands out when displayed since it’s design is so unusual and special.
