Old Chinese Certificate with Sun Yat Sen Portrait and Building
China, app. 1930, probably a receipt, 27.8 x 18.2 cm (8,5 x 11 inches), blue, black, one corner repaired, vignette of Sun Zhong Shan and of an government building.
Larger red seal imprint, 2 smaller ones in red and a black fee-stamp, additional Qingdao strike in violet and some writing by hand.
Siegfried Wagner (1869-1930) German composer, conductor and movie director, son of Richard Wagner. Handwritten Postcard, signed with full name. Written in Bayreuth 10.10.1911, addressed to Hotel Hungaria in Budapest. „Euer Wohlgeboren theile ich mit, dass ich mit Graefin Gravina am 20. Nachmittags eintreffe.“ (Announcement of arrival along with countess Gravina at Hotel Hungaria in the afternoon of 20th)

Graefin Gravina, Blandine von (1863-1941) was the second daughter of Cosima Wagners (marriage with Hans von Buelow). She was married to the Italian Count Biagi(n)o Gravina (1850-1897), who committed suicide.

Bruno Walter (born Bruno Schlesinger, 1876 – 1962) was a German-born conductor, pianist and composer.
Born in Berlin, he left Germany in 1933 to escape the Third Reich, settling finally in the United States in 1939. He worked closely with Gustav Mahler, whose music he helped to establish in the repertory, held major positions with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Salzburg Festival, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Staatsoper Unter den Linden and Deutsche Oper Berlin, among others, made recordings of historical and artistic significance, and is widely considered to be one of the great conductors of the 20th century.
