Antique Chinese seal made of stone. It is either from 1914 or 1854. Delicately carved Fu-Lion at topof the seal and artistically carved actual seal, carved by the artist Wu Zhi: „ Zhen Zi Xiao Wu” ( in the meaning of: The real Self is of no importance” ).

At the left side of the seal is a carving by the artist, stating date, receiver and name of the seal-carver.

1,2 x 1,2 x 5,1 inches. Great seal in fine condition.

A pair of attractive, valuable shou shan leisure seals by the important seal carver Wu Yifeng 吴一峰 (1907 – 1998).

As actual seal 8 characters have been carved: dan jiu ru xing 耽酒如性 (to abandon oneself to wine according ones nature) and: hao shi cheng chi 好诗成痴 ( a good poem making one crazy).

Each 26 x 26 x 41 mm and 30 mm. Good condition.

Signed at the front end Da Zou Ke 大走客, his artists name.

Wu Yifen was member of the Chinese Calligraphy Society and the Artist’s Association.

Attractive pair of leisure seals by the seal carver Ma Gongyu 马公愚 (1890 – 1969).

Foo lions as handles, side engraving with signature: Ma Gongyu.

As actual seals 12 characters have been engraved: 聊浮遥以相羊 and  聊浮游以道遥  liao fu yao yi xiang yang (and) liao fu you yi dao yao. (just floating it looks like a goat in the distance – just floating and swimming like a path in the distance).

Each one is 20 x 20 x 50 mm, good condition.

and: 月转花阴 yue zhuan hua yin (The moon rises and the flowers hide).

Signed with the artist’s name 戈虬 Ge Qiu. Good condition.

China 1916: Brownish-grey soapstone, with frosted gloss. Very charming carving with powerful expression. The handle depicts a delicately, skilfully carved lion. The seal reads: ” Ye bai Tang hei ” ( A white leaf in a dark room ).

China Bronze Seals: Set of 12 Zodiac Signs

Chinese Seals: Complete Set of 12 zodiac signs in bronze. The cast seals have different characters as actual seals, all carved by hand, which is rather difficult to do.

The seals are from the beginning of last century. Warm patina with some spots of green rust.

Size each: 0,6 x 0,6 x 0,9 each ( 14 x 14 x 25 mm) app. 20-23 gram.

Scarce set in fine condition.

Qing Dynasty: Six brown-grey, (smoke-colored) shoushan-seals, all 6 very well carved by the important seal carver Zhang Changhua (1827 – ?).

Each seal with side engraving 隽生 Jun Sheng, the courtesy name of 张昌甲 Zhang Changjia.

Attractive, antique China seal made of ivory. The actual seal print consists of 2 characters, Da Ji ( ultimate luck ).

A poem is engraved in very delicate, small „xing-shu” – script, as well as the name of the artist, Zhang Heng. Furthermore details to the period it has been carved: Dao Guang (1821 und 1850) in the year 1829.

12 x 45 mm, very fine condition, warm flair.

At the other side of the seal we find a landscape engraved.

A pair of ocher-brown stone seals, carved by the important seal carver  谢磊明 Xie Leiming (1884 – 1963).

As seal engraved are the characters: 江山为助笔纵横 笔补造化天无功  jiang shan wei zhu bi zhongheng, bi bu zaohua tian wu gong. (Rivers and mountains halp the brush to weave [landscapes], the brush corrects what heaven failed to create).

It is a line from a Tang-Dynasty poem.

Side engraving with details and each signed: Xie Leiming.

謝磊明Xie Leiming was an early member of the famous Xiling Seal-society, 西泠印社.Each one is 29 x 30 x 42 mm, good condition.
