Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor DBE ( 1932 – 2011) was an iconic two-time Academy Award-winning British-American actress.

Her trademark were her violet eyes framed by a double row of eyelashes. Known for her acting skills and the depth of her personality along with her beauty, she is considered one of the great actresses of Hollywood’s golden years, as well as a larger-than-life celebrity.

The American Film Institute named Taylor among the Greatest Female Stars of All Time, ranking at No. 7.

Doris Eaton Travis (1904 – 2010) was an American dancer, stage and film actress, dance instructor, writer, and rancher, who was the last of the acclaimed Ziegfeld girls.

She began performing onstage as a young child, and made her Broadway debut at the age of 13. A year later, in 1918, she joined the famed Ziegfeld Follies as the youngest Ziegfeld girl ever cast in the show.

Giuseppe Taddei (born June 26, 1916) was an Italian baritone known for his work in Italian opera, particularly the works of Giuseppe Verdi, as well as for his work in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s and Richard Wagner’s operas.

Taddei was born in Genoa and studied and debuted in Rome, where he sang regularly for several years. After being conscripted into the army in 1942, he returned to his singing career in 1946, performing for two seasons at the Vienna State Opera. His specialization in Mozart came later in his career, where he was particularly well known for the roles of Leporello from Don Giovanni and Figaro from Le nozze di Figaro. He recorded these roles with EMI in London with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Carlo Maria Giulini.

Taddei’s wonderful vocal longevity allowed him to continue recording into old age with notable examples of his art being the title role in Verdi’s “Falstaff” with Herbert von Karajan in the 1980s.

John Leslie Coogan (1914 –1984), known professionally as Jackie Coogan, was an American actor who began his movie career as a child actor in silent films.

Many years later, he became known as Uncle Fester on 1960s sitcom The Addams Family. In the interim, he sued his mother and stepfather over his squandered film earnings and provoked California to enact the first known legal protection for the earnings of child performers, widely known as the Coogan Act.

Giuseppe Patanè (born Naples, 1 January 1932, Italy – died Munich, 29 May 1989) was an Italian opera conductor.

He was the son of the conductor Franco Patanè (1908-1968) and studied in Naples, where he also made his debut in 1951. He died suddenly while conducting a performance of Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Bavarian State Opera.

The letter is 5,2 x 6,4 inches ( 13 x 16,3 cm), the photo 3,9 x 6 inches (9,8 x 15,2 cm).

Both have been mounted on cardboard, both are in fine condition.

Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, (1889 –1977), known as Charlie Chaplin, was an English comic actor and film director of the silent film era. He became one of the best-known film stars in the world before the end of the First World War.

His most famous role was that of The Tramp, which he first played in the Keystone comedy Kid Auto Races at Venice in 1914. From the April 1914 one-reeler Twenty Minutes of Love onwards he was writing and directing most of his films, by 1916 he was also producing them, and from 1918 he was even composing the music for them. With Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks and D. W. Griffith, he co-founded United Artists in 1919.

Chaplin was one of the most creative and influential personalities of the silent-film era. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Chaplin the 10th greatest male screen legend of all time.

Salmhofer died at age 75 in the city of his birth, Vienna, Austria.
