China 1728: Strange looking graphic. At the left side a cat - like God, sitting on his throne, one food resting on a cat. At the right side we see the Dutch Ambassador, depicted like a God, standing in a temple. Scary figures and kneeing Chinese at the back side.
The French inscription reads: " CHIN-HOAN Dieu tutelaire de la Chine. " and " DIVINITA que les AMBASSADEURS HALLANDOIS nomment LINCING dans leurs RELATIONS."
Size: 9.6 x 7.1 in. Copper print. Cut close at top. Hinge remnants at upper left and right side. Very fresh and clean appearance.
