Fine Chinese Northern Song Dynasty (960-1126) bowl of widely flared slightly conical form.
It was a common practice of the potters at the Ding kilns in Hebei province to fire their bowls and dishes upside down in order to prevent warping of the thin walls and the rims were wiped clean of glaze.
Diameter: 17,5 cm (7 inches), very good condition, no cracks or knocks.
