Walter Bloem (1868-1951) was a theatrical producer from 1911 to 1914. He served in WWI and WWII. His strongly nationalistic novels were widely read, but he was not whole-heartedly acknowledged by the National Socialists.
During his early career he also wrote plays which were seen on the stage, including a tragedy on Heinrich von Plauen. He was one of the 88 German writers who signed an oath to follow Adolf Hitler.
Several books have been published about him – one of the most popular ones is: From Weimar Philosemite to Nazi Apologist: Case of Walter Bloem.
